Kioti Tractor Warehouse Expansion

Project Overview

Bobbitt designed and built the 164,000-square-foot warehouse addition for the South Korean tractor manufacturer, Kioti Tractor. The addition consists of a structural steel frame, premium standing seam metal roof and insulated, pre-cast concrete walls. The floor slab is steel fiber reinforced with proper thickness to support the weight of the tractors and components that are stored in racks inside the building. A dry-shake hardener and surface densifying compound were also utilized to protect against abrasion from the handling of portable racks. Three interior “trailer pits” are also incorporated into the design to allow for the loading of flatbed trailers.

Bobbitt had to overcome site challenges that included obtaining a permit to fill wetlands and raise the site to match the existing building’s floor elevation. The site grading required the import of 75,000 cubic yards of fill material.
